Dandruff is excessive flaking of skin from the scalp, apparent as dry or greasy diffuse scaling with variable itching. It is the sign of a skin disease, such as seborrhea or a fungal infection.
Dandruff Home Remedy
Olive Oil Home Remedy for Dandruff
massage heated olive oil into the scalp as follows:
Heat 1/4 cup of pure virgin olive oil in the microwave until it is warm to the touch (typically about 30 seconds).
- Massage the heated oil into the scalp.
- Leave the oil in your hair for 20 minutes.
- Vigorously brush your hair with a natural bristle hairbrush (to loosen the dandruff scales).
- Wash the oil out with a quality shampoo.
Repeat this twice per week.
Remedy for Dandruff Using Thyme
concoction made with thyme has been found to help reduce the appearance
- Boil four heaping tablespoons of dried thyme into two cups of warm water for 10 minutes.
- Strain the mixture and allow the strained thyme liquid to cool to room temperature.
- Shampoo your hair, and then apply half of the thyme liquid onto your damp hair.
- Massage the liquid into your scalp.
- Do not rinse, but instead let the thyme liquid remain in your scalp.
- Store the remaining thyme liquid in the refrigerator for a future treatment.
Repeat this twice per week.
Remedy for Dandruff Using Aloe Vera- with aloe vera gel . About 10-15 minutes before you wash your hair, rub a lot of aloe vera gel into your scalp. leave it on for 10 minutes, and shampoo your hair like you regularly do. if you do this everyday the dandruff will stay away.
