Blackheads

A blackhead is normally an open, noninflammatory comedo (pimple) with a characteristic dark center. Oily skin is usually the type of skin that is plagued with blackheads.

Blackheads are also well-known as open comedones and are often caused by over functional sebaceous glands. Blackheads are plugged with sebum and sloughed off cells and undergoes a chemical reaction that results in the oxidation of melanin. The residue formed in the follicle is responsible for providing black colour to the blackheads. They thrive in oily skin and get worsened when the latter is exposed to pollution. You need to maintain proper hygiene to get cured of blackheads.
