Acne Rosacea Cause and Symptoms Information

Acne Rosacea Cause and Symptoms

Acne rosacea or commonly identified, rosacea is a chronic skin disorder. It has distinctive, acne-like symptoms and occurs mainly often in adults. While a number of factors appear to trigger rosacea, the exact cause is unknown. Rosacea cannot be cured, but there are a variety of treatment options offered.

Acne rosacea occurs commonly in light-skinned adults between the ages of 30 and 50. It is not the same like acne in that it occurs later on in life and does not feature the whitehead and blackhead pustules general in acne. Rosacea is equally frequent in men and women and predominantly affects people of European descent. It is rarely seen in children or in people with dark skin.

What Does Rosacea Look Like?

There are several symptoms and conditions associated with rosacea. These include frequent flushing, vascular rosacea, inflammatory rosacea, and several other conditions involving the skin, eyes, and nose.

How Is the Eye Affected?

In addition to skin problems, up to 50 percent of people who have rosacea have eye problems caused by the condition. Typical symptoms include redness, dryness, itching, burning

tearing, and the sensation of having sand in the eye.

Rosacea Causes

Some factors that cause rosacea to flare up in one person possibly will have no effect on another person. Although the following factors have not been well-researched, certain people claim that one or more of them have aggravated their rosacea: Heat including hot baths, strenuous exercise, sunlight, wind, very cold temperatures, hot or hot foods and drinks, alcohol consumption, menopause, emotional stress, and long-term use of topical steroids on the face. Patients affected by pustules can assume they are caused by bacteria, but researchers have not established a link relating rosacea and bacteria or other organisms on the skin, in the hair follicles, or elsewhere in the body.

Can Vitamin B Help With Acne Rosacea?

People have always turned to Mother Nature for assistance with their physical sicknesses. It is a well known fact that a properly maintained, healthy body possesses an amazing ability for self-healing and reducing the potential for new illnesses.

This is the case with regard to vitamin B and its use in the treatment of acne rosacea and other dermatological conditions.

  1. [...] Acne Rosacea is a common but poorly understood disorder of the facial skin that is estimated to affect well over 14 million Americans yet about 78 percent of Americans have no knowledge of this condition, including how to recognize it and what to do about it. This condition commonly occurs among women between the age group 30-60 years. However, if it occurs in men, then the condition can get pretty severe and could even inflame the nose and cause it to become large. This disease is considered a chronic, long term with periodic ups and downs. This syndrome is characterized by both vascular and populopustular components involving the face, neck and upper trunk.
